Guide
Create an eBay listing: from photo to finished listing.
A good eBay listing is not a long text block. It combines clear photos, a searchable title, correct item specifics, and an honest condition description.
1. Prepare photos first
Show the item from multiple angles. Photograph nameplates, visible wear, and included items separately. The first image becomes the main photo and should clearly show the entire item.
2. Focus the title on search terms
Start with brand, model, and product type. Then add relevant variants like storage, color, or edition and a realistic condition. Our free eBay Title Generator helps with the order.
3. Separate condition and included items
Don't just write "used." Name visible scratches, scuffs, or existing packaging specifically. Then list separately what's included.
4. Check item specifics
Brand, model, EAN, or MPN belong in the designated eBay fields. This improves findability and reduces upload errors. More in the guide to eBay item specifics.
5. Review before publishing
- Does the title match the actual item?
- Are defects described visibly?
- Is there no invented accessory in the text?
- Is the strongest photo in first place?
